Empathy: because it could be me

A man on the street asked for a dollar.

"I got to get home," I thought, and rushed past him.

"I have a home to go to," I thought.

I went back and gave him what little cash I had.

Empathy transcends dogma, theology, ideology. Having empathy means being human.
