Not reaching my audience anymore and it sucks

...and to the surprise of no one, my blog Stats have tanked since the demise of G+.  Sigh.  The entire fucking point of linking this blog to G+ was to have a nice, easy way to reach people and let them know the blog existed, posts were going live, and content was flowing.

Thanks a lot Google management team. You suck.

    Uh, yeah, I had a similar drop. FWIW, I set it up to post updates to a Twitter account and that seemed to help.

    Yeah. The only solution I can see is to broadcast announcements out to several platforms each time a blog post is published. For me it's Friendica, Twitter, and MeWe. I may add more as time goes on.

      I thoought about that, but really, I just lost the momentum without the easy ability to add value to posts via conversations in the comments section that G+ added. I liked that Google doesn't "require ID" and still allows some anonymity. Sigh. HUGS.

    Feel bad that I've not visited more often, but with baby I've not found time to go through blogs. I'm certain that I'd've managed anyway if G+ hadn't gone (it was great company during the night feeds) so some of it's on me but I blame G+ too.

    But baby is why my blog's just generally neglected at the moment

      I generated a TON of content in a just a few short years, unfortunately probably 75% of it evaporated with G+, since that 75% was in the G+-linked comments sections. Sigh.

      Thank you. I've found as long as Stupidity exists, it will push my buttons, and I'll have to push back. We'll see what happens with the frequency thing.
