Very nearly everything wrong with 2019 in one image

This reminds me of that goody fake game show in Time Bandits, which I was also reminded of when reading the Shadowrun game vision of the future in which game shows and sitcoms often involve people dying.  And then we have Hunger Games, right?  Humans love their blood sports, just as long as it's someone else dying, and we can pretend the oligarchs get their comeuppance in the end, even though we know bloody well that they don't.

But humans also love their sex. And love viewing women as sex objects, right? I mean, history shows this, and #MeToo wasn't some spontaneous outrage, but was really backlash against the unraveling of progress in equality since the 1960s. It's beem really stunning how equality has been unwound and now avowed sexual predators sit in the White House and appoint an accused sexual predator and emotionally unstable asshole, to the Supreme Court, while enabling sociopaths in the Senate overrule the will of the American people to support both scum.

Americans love to think of women as sex objects, and all too often, we women have accepted this, and bought into it, and been broken down by it.

I've always thought of Howie Mandel as just plain weird. I don't know of anything particularly wrong with him.

But, the advert image says "Here is Howie! See Howie! This show is about Howie! Oh, and come and see the parade of skin-tone diverse, basic body type-identical eye candy we parade every day behind Howie!"

Yeah, lovely pandering to base interests there, people. Yuck.

It's TOO EARLY to complain about having your ass grabbed!

Grabbing a woman's ass without permission is wrong.

But, seriously, "Al Franken grabbed my ass" is a seriously problematic distraction from the heinous and dangerous predators like Roy Moore, Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby and Clarence Thomas. Christ on a Crutch, four of those six have their own Wikipedia articles just for sexual assault allegations against them.

Being groped is wrong, but right now is NOT the time to distract the already easily overloaded average idiot. Remember, the average idiot is 1) confused about everything, 2) always ready to say "See, I knew it was all overblown! I can now go back to ignoring women who complain about sexual harassment!"

Look, ladies, I totally sympathize with you. I really do.  I've had my butt grabbed more times than I can remember, but get some perspective, and choose your time more wisely - this is not the right moment to complain about creepy men - we're still fighting for credibility against being raped!  I know you're struggling with this, but you have to wait, because right now YOU'RE MAKING THINGS WORSE.

(And, yes, I know I risk having my "good libtard" card revoked for this. Fuck that; I'm in this for the long game, and sometimes ethics just has to queue up and wait until the right time.)

Trump, Weinstein and the Brave Women who rattled the pillars of Heaven

I agree and disagree with Ms Dietz.  She has a  specific and focused point, but misses the bigger picture that the massive cultural shift required for Spacey's career to have been destroyed so quickly, first required that all those women pave the way for it to have happened.

Trump was accused by 15 women of crimes worse than Weinstein.  Same with Cosby (Cosby worse than Weinstein - holy shit, have you seen the current list against Cosby?!).  But, if those women had not come forth - and received death threats, and worse - shifting the public awareness and perception to the reality of the problem - then Weinstein's accusers - famous and beloved as they are - would have been shit on, instead of accepted at face value.

Without Weinstein going down in flames, Spacey's accuser would have been dismissed and ignored (as other men were in years past). Instead, the brave women who came forward with their stories of how Cosby, Trump and Weinstein perpetrated sexual misconduct, made it possible for Spacey's accuser to be taken seriously, and for the response that happened.

Ms Dietz makes a totally valid point that in 2017, the word of men is still treated more seriously than the word of women.  However, it is also extremely important to recognize the successful and massive cultural shift made possible by the women who came before him.

Trump and Weinstein: Sexual Assault is Still Wrong

Just so we're clear, if you find  yourself in a conversation about Harvey Weinstein and some tool is making hay that the "Democrats are Evil," because Weinstein is a sexual predator, then here are some responses:

• So you agree that sexual assault is wrong, and therefore you agree that  GOP President Donald Trump, former Fox News Chief Roger Ailes, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas are all fucking scumbags, because they have a history of sexual depredation against women.  Good, so, that means "Republicans are Evil," right?  Especially, since one of those sexual predators is the fucking President and another is a Supreme Court Justice.

• If it's a "Yeah, but Weinstein!" scenario, the remind them that "Yeah, but..." means the speaker is normalizing and justifying the behavior.  The response to "Yeah, but.." is "So, you're saying you're okay with sexual harassment?  That's kind of shitty of you."
  There is NO "Yeah, but..." when it comes  to sexual predators.  It's only "Yes, you're right. President 'grab her by the pussy' Trump was just as wrong as Harvey Weinstein!"  

Root Cause: Rape happens, because people commit rape

Women don't get raped for wearing the wrong clothing, they get raped, because men rape them.

This is basic root cause for so many things. People get shot (or stabbed, or clubbed), because someone shoots them.

You get two basic reasons for trying to wave off the reality of rape.

1) blame the victim - often done as a way to justify it otherwise moralize the rape action. "Well, if she hadn't advertised she wanted to be raped, no one would have raped her." Obviously, this is bullshit, and somehow the would-be rapist never seems to catch the implicit insult about how he has less self-control than a mentally damaged dog.

2) Evil exists in the world and you need to try to protect yourself from it. This is a true statement. It should not be construed as an excuse for evil to be evil, that is, just because men sometimes rape women, does not absolve rapists of being rapists, if a women does not somehow prevent him from raping her.

So, just as the root cause of murder (deliberate killing action) is someone committing the murderous action, and failure to prevent oneself being murdered does not absolve the murderer of being a murderer, then rapists are rapists and we need to grow up and accept that rape happens, because men refuse to exercise even basic control over themselves.

But, you know, at the end of the day, grow up and take some responsibility for your actions.

Women's March 2017

Just to repeat for the slow learners in the room (who, sadly, also like to congratulate themselves for their dull-witted ideas), the Women's March 2017 was never, ever, about trying to change the election results. That ship sailed people, you're the only ones still stuck in the past.

The Women's March 2017 has always been about making sure Trump knows his bullshit stinks and we're not going to sit by while he smears his shit all over the country.

It was one thing when he was bullshitting you slow thinkers - it was kind of funny watching you cheer how good you smelled after wallowing in his bullshit.

The anxiety that women feel, because we're targets

Right - I had no idea this G+ post would blow up the way it did. I mean, go read the comments. We've got some really creative ways of viewing the problem, and some really creative ways of dealing with the problem.

I believe the only appropriate response of a moral and just person to the mass murder of adults, by an adult, at a Planned Parenthood facility is this:

as murder is always a tragedy.

Now, let’s take the subject of the married woman who visits Planned Parenthood to get birth control pills, so she can enjoy sex with her husband, but they're not ready to start a family.

Let's take the case of the teenager who is being incestuously raped by her father, but won't tell the police, because they would rip her family apart, but she wants birth control pills to avoid pregnancy, because that would rip the family apart worse.

Now, some asshole comes in and murders them, in the name of God, and a bunch of other assholes lionize this man for murdering two people who were just trying to be responsible and PLAN their terms of PARENTHOOD rather than have it controlled by an outside force, like God, for example.

And I went to high school with this girl, and I met this wife in college, so stop pooh-poohing that I’m making up some “ivory tower” hypothetical. Thankfully neither were murdered by some psychopath, but what will you do when it does happen? Jump through hoops - like a hypocrite - to say “Well, they ought to have been somewhere else, too bad they got themselves murdered for their bad choice of where to shop, because I won't stop feeling good that they were murdered!”?

Real Feel Sex Dolls - Observations by this Woman

The level of thought put into the massive text bleed on that front page is impressive. Some makes sense, some makes me laugh, some... doesn't.

Some of the ideas are really interesting, and I would never have thought about the actual healthy therapeutic or playful experimental uses of a "real feel" sex doll.

For example, some men (or women) who don't have a lot of opportunity to practice gentle contact with a women would practice on a substitute. Examples from this site are breast play, cunnilingus, or even just plain cuddling (humans need cuddling and physical contact, because we are pack animals, while sex is a biological instinct, but different need).

Those ideas are actually pretty cool. I could see also how a man might beneficially experiment with things like DP, different positions, etc., to become more comfortable and thus be able to enhance the experience with a live partner.

The whole "three-way without emotional attachments" is a bit weird, but I can see how that might work, too. In a certain context, that's actually healthy, also. I could see how it might let curious partners experiment while avoiding serious social complications (like finding that special Other Woman).

So, I can see how a "real feel" sex doll can have some benefits for a healthy (and kinky) mind (male or female).

No, really, the first site had a size limit of 5'4", and I thought that was weird.

The fallacy of Justice in America

The idea that "justice is blind," is wonderful and intentional, but also wrong.  Justice has been corrupted by greed and revenge.

The "drug war" incarcerates people who would otherwise be able to be productive members of society, thus draining society.  It incarcerates people in corporate-owned and corporate-run prisons, thus shifting money from the poor (taxpayers) to the rich (corporate owners).

"Legalized rape" threatens, disenfranchises and weakens women.  The most effective way to raise an entire society and culture out of poverty and into greater self-rule is to empower women. Thus, reversing that trend,  increases social poverty and decreases social stability.

Yet another one about the psychosis of the Interwebs

I read this again last night, and lost sleep over it. I don't lose sleep over anything.

The psychosis of the Interwebs is that everything is about US, as individuals, all the time. We, as human beings, like to get self-righteous. Forgiveness becomes a joke, when the Interwebs mean that every stupid decision - ever will always be new to someone, somewhere, and therefore can haunt us forever.

Justine Sacco is a person. She is a person who will forever be haunted by the independently-living meme called #JustineSacco. They are not one and the same. However, I just learned about the meme, and therefore I have the choice to be a self-righteous idiot - right now - or not.

Most people on the Interwebs don't bother to ask themselves "Will I chose to be an idiot, or not?" - they just jump off the cliff of stupid, and a conflagration of stupid that is years old becomes a new conflagration all over again, and a person who made one simple, mindless, stupid careless word choice is pilloried again and again, because stupid people want to be selfish and wallow in their own self-righteous anger because it's NEW to THEM.

I live in fear of that shit. I walked away from my cherished Faceborg account when they demanded proof of my identity. I am not prepared to risk having my personal information leaked anymore than I already do.

Read the story - a young woman dressed as a Boston Marathon bombing victim. She quite probably did it because she cared about how they had suffered and wanted to remind people in a humorous way. However, the self-righteous stupid fucks of the Interwebs sent her death threats over a photograph.

Yeah, I lost sleep both from empathy for these victims of the selfish, self-righteous, and because I fear I could lose my life (figuratively or literally) to the next #JustineSacco meme.

Pray for the end of abortion, but understand there is a root cause that needs to be fixed before abortion will actually stop.

Making abortion illegal is like making it illegal to feed the homeless - it doesn't end homelessness, it just creates greater desperation. 

So, making abortion illegal does not end unwanted pregnancy. Duh. 

All the farcical "protect the unborn" bullshit laws don't end unwanted pregnancy, they just increase the burden of being pregnant, and turn what should be a joy into a liability and fear that some asshole will decide a miscarriage was a crime.

Work to make every pregnancy a wanted one: end rape, end incest, end abortion.  This isn't rocket science.

Suburban American Slavery: No Sanity, No Boundaries, No Age Limits

In a previous post, I remarked how I'm outside the target age group for women in America who get kidnapped and held captive for years as slaves.

Turns out I was wrong. Apparently there is no age limit on this kind of fucked up, scary-as-shit insanity.

This is so freaky screwed up, I'm seriously going to start studyig kung fu and seriously consider getting a gun and a concealed carry permit, and learn knife fighting, and carry one of those, too. Will this guarantee my safety? Will this stop me from freaking out and killing an innocent person? Will this prevent bad things happening? will this ensure no asshole assaults me because I'm carrying a gun and the asshole thinks I'm going to shoot people? No, but it would make me feel less afraid. I think.

Shit, even having a panic room isn't going to guarantee anything, since I saw that movie, and that worked out so well.

Women don't have the luxury to NOT fear for our safety

It is funny,  the core perception we have of the world (collectively, as well as specifically), instilled in us simply by gender-based experiences. Unfortunately, I rarely can't keep personal safety in the back of my mind. Not necessarily because I might be in greater actualized danger than a male counterpart, but because those with predatory or aggressive behaviors are more likely to perceive me as an acceptable potential target for their behaviors, simply because I am not my male counterpart. For example, either because of genuine misogynist tendencies (positive filter match for target), or simply because I'm not male (absence of negative filter match, for which animals might also qualify as targets, which says a lot right there, also).

Bullying and Predation are gender-neutral

In the physical world, since time immemorial, women have been targets of bullies and predators, and the greatest danger was from men.

The truth is that women can also be bullies and predators, and women are still the prefered target.

The emotional disassociation from the victim, and perceived anonymity provided by the Interwebs, only emboldens bullies of both genders, and sadly often shields them from retribution.

Why counter-doxxing is bad tactics for women

I oppose doxxing the doxxer, because if we become the enemy, then what was it we were fighting for?

Also, simple practical self-interest. Anyone sick enough to dox isn't going to back down or be frightened or suddenly become reasonable when counter-attacked using his own methods. He's going to feel validated and become more aggressive or more psycho, and thus more dangerous. Also, third party onlookers - psycho and sane alike - are going to muddle the moral murk and start to think the original victim somehow "deserved" the assault (or battery, or death), because the victim "was also dirty."

"doxxing" - It's publicly exposing someone's real name or address on the Internet who has taken pains to keep them secret. - according to Urban Dictionary - should be considered accessory to murder. No fuckwit publicly exposes someone's real name and address unless there is intent to cause harm. It should be a fucking crime. There's a reason I live under a bridge. Come find me, asshole.
