Ironic how anti-vaxxers co-opted the foundation pro-choice advocates created

"My body, my choice" was the key phrase for decades for those seeking to protect a woman's right to safe, legal, termination of a pregnancy (including those gone sideways and become deadly to the mother).

Ironic, then, that "My body, my choice" was co-opted by anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Which means, in no uncertain terms: Loss of right to bodily autonomy - e.g. not being allowed to terminate a pregnancy - is exactly the same loss of right to bodily autonomy to say no to a vaccine, or no to wearing a mask.

They're ALL protected by the 4th and 14th Amendments. So, congrats anti-vaxxers - you've just seen your rights eroded.

If buying a gun was like getting an abortion

The artificial termination of pregnancy is such a messy subject.  But, the truth is that a huge part of that mess is the sheer, unbridled hypocrisy surrounding it.

This meme does two jobs, really well. It points out how little Americans actually give a shit about life - I mean, 30 000 firearm deaths per year, yet the solution is "more guns"?  Yeah, no.

And let's not let women end unwanted pregnancies, but fuck your socialist state if you expect me to help pay to have a healthy baby born, or to raise a healthy child who doesn't turn to crime to survive?  Yeah, classic.

I mean, nothing like using a gun to murder people who provide medical support to poor women who want to stay healthy and keep their babies, right?  What could possibly be more "2018 American" than that?

"Pro-Lifers" are so full of shit, the stink reeks to Heaven and God and Jesus are offended.

Limp Dick is God's Will

It's not rocket science. If my tax money can be spent to help a man control his body, then it can be spent to help a woman control her body.

If my tax money can be spent to help men make babies, then my tax money can be spent to help birth and raise healthy children.

Women's March 2017

Just to repeat for the slow learners in the room (who, sadly, also like to congratulate themselves for their dull-witted ideas), the Women's March 2017 was never, ever, about trying to change the election results. That ship sailed people, you're the only ones still stuck in the past.

The Women's March 2017 has always been about making sure Trump knows his bullshit stinks and we're not going to sit by while he smears his shit all over the country.

It was one thing when he was bullshitting you slow thinkers - it was kind of funny watching you cheer how good you smelled after wallowing in his bullshit.

But, the game changed, didn't it? Yeah, and you slow-thinkers still haven't caught on to how it changed. Trump isn't going to stop shitting on you. He's going to do it more and harder and to all the rest of us, too

Come on, slow-learners. Catch up - we've moved on to making sure Trump and his billinaire swamp monkey cronies know we recognize tolitarian bullshit and we didn't tolerate it in 1945 and we're not putting up with it today.

Any questions? Class dismissed.

Chase the root cause, dumbass

The other thing to remember is that the "war on drugs" failed. It was an absolute disaster, because money was funneled to the rich wasted by chasing the drugs themselves and never addressing the reasons such people wanted drugs in the first place.

Why do people want drugs? Because it makes them feel better - same reason they want alcohol and porn and gambling and all those other things that are generally fine in small amounts, and destroy lives in large amounts.

"Feel better" is a deliberately  fuzzy term - "stop feeling pain by becoming numb" is a valid definition of "feel better."

Also "enhance performance" is a valid definition - this is why rich people (like Trump) do cocaine - it "energizes" them and helps them "do more faster."

People want things - people gonna get things. History proves this over and over and over (Prohibition anyone?).

Wake up, people, and realize making drugs illegal is a waste of resources.  Make them all legal and then funnel all that money into drug rehab programs, into job training programs, into stress management programs.

But, now you can begin to realize that the point isn't to help people - it's deliberate to keep people down - to control the masses thru moralizism.

It's Class Warfare, Bitches.

The GOP is going to keep abortion LEGAL

Listen up you anti-abortionist chuckleheads, because you're all naive idiots.

No, Im not even talking about the part where outlawing abortion won't solve a single fucking problem you seem to have some daft hope it will, and it will actually create numerous more problems that anyone really and honestly pro-life is already aware of and accepts as fact instead of pretending isn't a problem

I'm talking about the fact that your boys won't ever make abortion illegal.

I'll spell it out really slowly, not that it will help, because you've already stuck your fingers in your ears and I can hear you chanting "lalalalalalalala."

The Supreme Court has been dominated by conservatives for 45 years - including the most conservative skew in living memory under John Roberts and - wait for it - ABORTION IS STILL HERE.  What does that tell you? Oh, wait, you're deaf to reality calling, so never mind, I'll talk to the reasonable people in the room.

Ask yourself, how many right-wing political tools would you really have voted for if they hadn't promised you they'd make abortion illegal again (yes, we've tried the illegal thing, we already know all the things wrong with it)? I've had several people straight up tell me that was their deciding factor for voting for racist, elitist, incompetent businessman conman Trump.

So, you think the GOP - or any right-wing demagogue tool is ever going to give up that cash cow vote machine of abortion? If you really think so, then you're hopelessly naive and divorced from reality.

Abortion is here to stay, chuckles, because it's such a useful way to lead you around by that cattle ring in your nose.

Anti-Choicers Hate Life

The history of their protests, lawsuits, and efforts to enact legislation prove this to be exactly true.

Stupid meme burns - two wrongs do not make a right, you moron

Mocking the meme: So, you're saying "two wrongs make a right."

Because we're not going to talk about how to stop "baby killers," then we're not going to talk about how to stop grade-school murderers (Adam Lanza, Sandy Hook), or high school murderers (Columbine), or partier murderers (Orlando Pulse Nightclub), happen to be too close to the building murderers (Robert Dear), or church murderers (Dylann Roof) or murderers of people just watching a Batman movie (Aurora)

Oh, yeah, you're so "pro-life," aren't you?.

No, you're not. You're so anti-abortion you've become the very thing you congratulate yourself on hating - someone who condones murder in the name of selfish "my emotional needs trump your rights."

You're an idiot.

Keep the nanny state out of the uterus

Good meme. No one is "pro-abortion." That's a phantom bogeyman, invented to let people feel self-righteous and superior.

However, a huge number of "pro-lifers" really are nothing more than "anti-abortion," and they reveal this by their smarmy attitudes about how women "need to be responsible for their own choices that lead to them getting knocked up in the first place," and too bad if it's a non-viable fetus, because "no abortions ever, no exceptions."

That's not "pro-life," it's "anti-abortion."

"Anti-abortion" is also "my morality overrules your free capitalism choices to control your body, your future, and the future of any children you may actually want some day."

"Pro-choice" is more in line with "small government," and "privacy rights," than anti-abortionists are.

So, anyone who wants to chant "small government, keep your hands off my gun, and stop spying on me," must also chant "keep government out of the uterus" or admit to being a hypocritical asshole. Good luck with that.

Protect YOUR privacy - stop Missouri's invasion of medical privacy

Let's call this "enlightened self-interest" - see, the GOP want some medical records of people whom they consider "bad people."

Well, who defines "bad people"? How soon before "bad people" includes you? Will you have a choice in the matter?

Even if you think artificial termination of pregnancy is the sin of all sins, escalating the crime with invasion of privacy, public humilation, and reckless endangerment is adding sin to sin, and makes those complicit as vile and evil as those who drive forward with such invasions.

And, I'll say it again - it's an erosion of the rights to privacy that we all take for granted.  You may hate abortion, but this is a privacy matter, and how long before someone decides you're the "wrong kind of person" and your privacy needs to be invaded, possibly by the police hauling you off to jail?

Help stop Missouri's attack on privacy for women

Below are excerpts from an email I received. It doesn't fucking matter who sent the email. The point is that your rights to privacy are being chewed away, and it's only a matter of time before it's your ass being publicly hung out to dry and endangered for a private life choice you made.

Last November, the Missouri State Senate committee demanded that the last abortion provider in the state turn over six years worth of consent forms.

To comply would not only violate medical privacy, it would expose tens of thousands of women to harassment and intimidation by .. extremists.

The .. Missouri State Senate is STILL demanding the signed consent forms of every woman who's had an abortion in the state over the last six years.

And now they've called on the CEO of the Planned Parenthood in St. Louis to testify on why she shouldn't be thrown in jail for refusing this order.

[reminds me of the memes that say "it is a patriot's duty to disobey unjust laws - oh, wait, unless they're "bad people"?]

We're already seeing a huge spike in clinic violence. Now these .. Republicans want to provide the extremists with a road map to virtually every woman in the state who's exercised her constitutionally protected right ..

We're fighting to demand .. Republicans drop this outrageous attack.

And, just as a reminder - again - this kind of assault on privacy rights is class warfare - don't for a minute think the elitist oligarchs would permit themselves to be subjected to this - they're trying to recreate a two-tiered society of the neo-nobility and the peasants that lie down in the road so the oligarchs don't muddy their shoes.

It's a TRAP - Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers

So apparently there is yet-another Texas "if we can't make artificial termination of pregnancy illegal, we'll make it impossible to get" before the Supreme Court again.  To the surprise of no one, these are called "TRAP" laws (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers).

And "hundreds" of women have filed "friend of the court" statements saying how much they "deeply regret" their own pregnancies they had terminated, and therefore other women should be denied the same choice.

Uh-huh. Look, I really do sympathize with those women who made what was surely a very difficult choice, and one they cannot reverse, and now they regret it. The past is immutable, and only the future is uncertain. They have my compassion.

But, they can then also Fuck Off. I don't give a shit about their hurt feelings when they try to dictate my options and my choices over my body.

Until every pregnancy is a WANTED and WELCOME joy, then "anti-abortionists" can take their misguided and selfish ethics and shove them up their butts.

As I've said before, this bullshit isn't about "protecting the unborn" - it's about control and taking away options from women. It's about trapping the poor into poverty, and about breaking the middle class and driving them into poverty.

A pregnant woman has fewer choices about education, about contributing to the economy, about her health.  I know a lovely middle-class family, with good education, with a wonderful little girl.  That pregnancy literally nearly killed the mother - she developed a rare blood disorder for which the only cure was to end the pregnancy.  She had to quit working due to complications. Thank God her husband's company provided a really good (and really expensive) health insurance policy, and she had a great doctor (apparently a co-chair of gynecology at a major hospital), who was able to nurse her along to give full-term, live-birth to a perfectly healthy child.

But, mother and fetus could have died without that Really Expensive healthcare.  This wasn't a "mom could have sacrificed her life for baby" kind of deal - three choices: 1) work to save both mom and baby, 2) save only mom, 3) both die.

This farcical false bullshit of "women who end their pregnancies are just selfish and evil" is pig-headed vile self-righteous selfish bullshit on the part of the anti-abortionist, not the pregnant woman.

It's way past time for these selfish assholes to cut the crap, accept that they're really just waging a war to force others to abide by their own whims and desires, that they don't respect the Constitution or the Founding Fathers and Mothers, to own up to being prigs, and quit playing pussyfoot with TRAP laws.

Murdering Planned Parenthood Employees is Wrong

I believe the only appropriate response of a moral and just person to the mass murder of adults, by an adult, at a Planned Parenthood facility is this:

Because I believe murder is wrong,
I am opposed to the mass shooting events at Planned Parenthood facilities,
as murder is always a tragedy.

Therefore, these men who commit mass shootings at Planned Parenthood are
vile, disgusting, murderers, and are villains, NOT heroes.

To anyone who calls these shooters and murderers “heroes”: I’m calling you a hypocrite, with your “value life” crap hollow and only when convenient to making you feel good and righteous. It’s bullshit to say you condone murder because you're all about the sanctity of life.

Now, let’s take the subject of the married woman who visits Planned Parenthood to get birth control pills, so she can enjoy sex with her husband, but they're not ready to start a family.

Let's take the case of the teenager who is being incestuously raped by her father, but won't tell the police, because they would rip her family apart, but she wants birth control pills to avoid pregnancy, because that would rip the family apart worse.

Now, some asshole comes in and murders them, in the name of God, and a bunch of other assholes lionize this man for murdering two people who were just trying to be responsible and PLAN their terms of PARENTHOOD rather than have it controlled by an outside force, like God, for example.

And I went to high school with this girl, and I met this wife in college, so stop pooh-poohing that I’m making up some “ivory tower” hypothetical. Thankfully neither were murdered by some psychopath, but what will you do when it does happen? Jump through hoops - like a hypocrite - to say “Well, they ought to have been somewhere else, too bad they got themselves murdered for their bad choice of where to shop, because I won't stop feeling good that they were murdered!”?

Robert Dear is a murderer - NOT a hero

This meme is beautiful, because it lays out the reality that there is an entire industry that has been built around cultivating and venerating these murderous psychopaths.

It's not an organized industry - it's more like a collection of terrorist cells. Each part of the machinery knows there are other parts who will give them money, fame, power, and glory for pushing their individual parts - the assholes who make carefully engineered, and carefully edited videos creating very deceptive images of Planned Parenthood*, the assholes who repeat the sound byte message again and again, the politicians who create their own sound bytes like mindless demagogues.

It's all part and parcel of an overall agenda to nurture and cultivate "lone wolves" into violence.

Then these "lone wolves" are worshiped, which only encourages more lunatics to see glory by committing violent mass murder.

(* And if you think "four hours of unedited video" wasn't carefully orchestrated and edited then you're a moron.)

It's not a complicated question whether or not this guy is a "hero." He's not; he is a villain, and a particularly pathetic one, too. However,  instead of condemning a murderer for committing murder, people try to make him a hero and associate themselves with him by saying "We share a common belief system." This suggests they somehow consider it acceptable to "murder murderers."

When faced with their hypocracy, they could simply respond "I think murder is wrong, and I condem him for murder, even though I am also glad that his victims are not participating in a clinic where I consider that babies are murdered," but they don't, because they know they're full of shit, and the only way to sustain a mutually exclusionary value system is to only discuss it in scripted phrases and short sentences, instead of complex expressions.

My point remains that Robert Dear did not commit his murderous actions (he has stated he committed murder, so I'll skip the "alleged" phase, for purposes of discussion) in a vacuum.

The meme states it quite clearly - there are literally thousands of people who encouraged him, who pushed his buttons, and who whipped his twisted mind into a place where he considers (not just considered) murdering other human beings to be morally acceptable behavior (nevermind the Sixth Commandment).

We cannot call murder "the capital crime," with one breathe, and with the next start setting exceptions. Either we value life, and condemn murder, or we consider murder a virtue and therefore life is valueless.

The Colorado Murders - November 2015 edition

let's see, so far the Colorado murders have revealed about American hypocrisy:

- it's not terrorism if it's a white guy;
- cops only kill black people;
- it's not murder if the victims were within 50 ft of some place where an abortion may have ever happened (even if said victim never had anything to do with an abortion, ever);
- it's not terrorism if he's Christian;
- the Sixth Commandment only applies when we feel like it;
- this wouldn't have happened if only those baby killers had been carrying guns, too;
- stirring up crazy people to go out and kill people isn't wrong, it's just good business

Come on, I'm sure we can make this list go on forever.

(Note, I called this the "November 2015 edition," because there have been so fucking many mass shootings in Colorado - seriously, just run a generic search.)

That guy who used to be pro-choice until

"Yeah, I'm that guy who used to be Pro-Choice until listening to an abortion survivor speak. "

It's not my intention to call out the guy who wrote that sentence. It's my intention to run with the fact that someone said it at all.

Survivor of what? Back alley abortion? Clean, safe legal abortion?

The guilt a woman feels over making the choice to have an abortion gives her neither right nor privilege to stop other women making that choice. and it's an even lamer excuse for someone else entirely to decide he needs to dictate what others are allowed to do.

That's like saying "I chose to have a gun in my house, and someone died, therefore no one else is allowed the choice to have a gun in their home."

And in any case, the simple fact remains: It's not your body, motherfucker, so shove your righteous opinion up your ass.

another one about unwanted pregnancy

If you are going to congratulate yourself for righteous responsibility ensuring 'the innocent' are dragged into this world, then you must also accept responsibility for ensuring they have a quality of life. Failure to follow-through is merely kicking 'the innocent' to the curb, and the equivalent of consigning them to Hell, while patting yourself on the back. God keeps a special place for those of such deep hubris.

Cool Quotes - Taking "Pro-Lifers" seriously

And the bingo goes to Jean Liss for

"I would take a pro life person much more seriously if they expanded sex education/condom distribution, but reducing unwanted pregnancy doesn't seem to be a priority in their policies regarding abortion."

Every Sperm is Sacred - Masturbation is Murder

Science has determined that every sperm represents half the genetic make-up of a human being. That means that each and every sperm is a potential human being.

Therefore, the destruction of sperm is the destruction of human life.

God, in His Infinite Wisdom, has designed the male body to expel thousands of sperm with every ejaculation. Since we lack a method to save all these lost potential souls, we can only do as God has ordained, and limit the loss of life.

Therefore, in order to honor and protect life, henceforth the following actions are illegal for any man to do:

  • Masturbate (alone or with a partner);
  • Anal sex;
  • Oral sex;
  • Premature Ejaculation;
  • "Nocturnal Emission" (whether at night, while sleeping, or not).

The evidence on presence of sperm in "pre-cum" for stimulated males is pending.

Only the following methods of sperm release shall be permitted to men:

  • Vaginal orgasm with a consenting, adult, female, to whom you are lawfully wed.

Only the following method of "birth control" is acceptable, since all others require the murder of human life, either the slaughter of sperm, or the death of a fetus:

  • "The Pill";

(Note that use of "the pill" might be morally objectionable under the "promotes being a slut" provisions, even when used by a lawfully married woman, prepared to provide documentation she is having sex only with her husband, and prepared to sign a pledge saying she will not become a slut, harlot, or loose woman.)

(Note also that we have given this a lot of thought. If you fancy you can think of a method of "birth control" that we haven't, then you're wrong and should seek medical attention - from a licensed doctor, or aggressive religious leader, whichever - for your deviancy.)

  • First time sperm murdering men will be sent to self-control education classes;
  • Second time sperm murdering men will be put on medications to control their unnatural, psychotic, murdering urges;
  • Third time offenders will be shot by a robot-controlled gun, on a random timer, because every life is sacred, and guns don't kill people, people kill people, and the random timer means that God ordains the moment of death for the sick, murderous sinner.

Theological Thursday: Your church probably says abortion has a place in reality

Given the aggressiveness of the lunatic fringe and Republican politicians to prohibit and restrict the artificial termination of pregnancy, almost invariably while screaming "because, God!", it is very nearly shocking how moderate most of the official church policies are.

And by "official," I mostly mean "established more than 20 years ago," since let's face it: the last twenty years have seen an insane growth in mom-and-pop and for-profit "Christian" churches, and these people lack any sense of history.  Without that history, none of the bugs in their doctrine have been worked out, so they keep making the same radical and stone-headed mistakes the "established" hierarchies sorted out decades or centuries ago.

Equal Means Equal - gender under the law

Let's see - as a woman -
  • I can vote,
  • I can drive,
  • I can run a corporation,
  • I can kill for my country,
  • I can die for my country,
and I can do all of this while (among other things)
  • being legally forced to accept 80% or less of the pay,
  • getting raped and shamed for it while my rapist gets custody rights of the child I'm not allowed to abort.
Yep. We're the shining example of "civilization."
